Sudlersville Middle School

The New Sudlersville Middle School for Queen Anne’s County Public Schools is a replacement school for the existing middle school within the town. A feasibility study determined that due to growth and the number of students a building expansion of the existing building could not be accommodated on the site which led to a new building. The building serves 4th through 8th grade and is a 100,000 square foot, two-story structure with a 600 student capacity. This project has achieved LEED Gold Certification with over 70% of daylighted spaces, and its projected energy savings is 46.3%. Annually, it is projected that the school will save $156,551 in energy costs, and will have a 54.5% reduction in water use.
