Melanie joined Gipe Associates in 1979, the same year that we became an incorporated entity.  She was a key player in building our firm from a four-person team working out of Mr. Albert Gipe’s residence, to where we are today.  Mel oversees our accounting and human resources departments.

Mel has volunteered with Talbot Hospice since 1995 and participates on Assateague Point EEC Committee for annual inspections to assure the development and all properties are maintained and kept to an acceptable presence.

Renown for her many talents, Mel is quite the handywoman and loves helping family and friends on their construction projects, including but not limited to: roofing, screening, power washing, painting, building, and demo work.  She also enjoys furniture restoration, shooting sporting clays, and visiting the beach.

What you love about working at Gipe?  Family/Team Environment – Listening to the Engineers, especially Dave that gets so fired up about a better way to design something, hearing the guys toss ideas back and forth…….very interesting

Do you have a favorite project?  Tying out financials on a quarterly basis or annually………just proves what we do on a day to day basis all flows properly to ensure that quarterly and year end process runs smoothly.
