White Oak Recreation Community Center – New Construction

Gipe Associates, Inc. provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services for a new 50,000 sf recreation center. The facility houses art rooms, classrooms, community/multi-purpose areas, conference rooms, fitness rooms, a gymnasium, studio, warming kitchen, and game room.  The HVAC design is energy efficient and is in accordance with ASHRAE 90.1-1999 and ASHRAE Standard 62. A Life Cycle Cost Analysis was performed as part of this project to determine which HVAC system would be optimal for optimal for the building.  Mechanical, electrical, plumbing design included provision of contract documents, provision of MEP specifications, review of MEP shop drawings, contract administration services, MEP calculations, infrastructure for and coordination with the County’s security and IT vendors. 50,000 sf / $17M
