Mother Seton Academy – Gym Commissioning

Gipe Associates provided peer review services and third party commissioning services for the Mother Seton Academy, a Catholic Middle School in Baltimore, Maryland. A peer review was conducted at the 100% Construction Document Phase. Gipe Associates provided detailed comments of the construction drawings, specifications, Basis of Design Document, and Owner’s Project Requirements Document. Written comments provided to the Architect and Engineer of Record noted any plans or specifications that appeared ambiguous, confusing, conflicting, or erroneous. The goal of this coordinated effort was to identify conditions that cause RFIs, added costs, or negative effects on the quality of construction. Gipe feels creating camaraderie with the design and construction team is a key element in any peer review. The overall goal is to create the best possible project for the Owner. In addition to the peer review, Gipe Associates also developed commissioning checklists and testing forms, reviewed submittals, O&M Manuals, and Lead the commissioning efforts.
