Bennett Middle School – New Construction

This replacement school is designed to support the instructional program and enhance the educational experience by addressing many of the programmatic needs and physical plant accommodations required of a modern high-performance school facility. Some of the highlighted features include geothermal HVAC, life-safety measures, ADA accessibility, energy efficient lighting and controls, water conserving plumbing fixtures, site integrated storm-water management and technologically advanced instructional equipment. The building’s HVAC systems are controlled and monitored via a dedicated direct digital control system. The control system is tied into the Wicomico County central control and monitoring system. This project was designed utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM/Revit). This project has achieved LEED Gold Certification.
