Butterfly Ridge Elementary School – New Construction

Gipe Associates provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design and contract administration for the new 105,000sf Butterfly Ridge Elementary School.  Systems design included a high performance, energy efficient geothermal system for heating and cooling, lighting, power distribution, fire protection, and fire alarm system.  Natural gas was brought to the site to support the domestic water equipment, emergency generator, and boilers (the standard FCPS design for a  backup heat source). An Add alternate for Submetering was designed to measure plug loads, lighting loads, HVAC loads, kitchen load, makeup water usage, domestic hot water usage and fuel oil usage.
