Elkridge Library & Senior Center – New Construction

The Howard County Library System’s Elkridge Branch features six study rooms, three meeting rooms, a vending cafe, a business center, computer areas, and an expanded collection.  In addition, the DIY Education Center features a variety of home improvement tools such as power tools, ladders, gardening tools, unique cooking pans for baking, art supplies, bike maintenance, etc. are available to rent as well as unique classes for all ages.

Mechanical (including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, fire protection, electrical (including power, interior lighting, site lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications, security system design for the Elkridge Library & DIY Center.  MEP systems support spaces such as the 2,000sf DIY Education Center, classroom/workshop area, study and conference rooms, café area, book collection, children and teen areas, fitness rooms, and a lounge complete with a fireplace.  The renovation nearly doubled the square footage of the library, which is approximately 35,000sf now.
