Hampstead WWTP ENR Upgrade

Gipe Associates provided electrical and mechanical (HVAC engineering design services associated with the WWTP upgrade. Design and contract administration services included overall site plan(s) showing new and existing structures, upgrade of the existing incoming electrical service and associated service/distribution equipment, new outside pad mounted and enclosed emergency generator and area lighting where required for security and personnel safety.

Upgrades included a new chemical storage, feed pumping facility, and new headworks building included the design of a motor control center and controllers for the ENR tank aerators (VFD’s) and mixers, new ENR tanks, flow EQ tanks, ENR pump station, RAS pump station, secondary clarifier, scum pit pump station and a new electrical room.

Gipe Associates implemented provisions for the replacement/upgrade of the plant’s existing electrical service and associated switchgear, existing filters, UV system, secondary clarifiers. The plant’s existing emergency generator system was replaced and a new SCADA system was designed to  support the plant’s operations with computer work stations located in the plant’s main control building.
