Salisbury University Chester and Choptank Halls Design/Build Renovation

Gipe Associates provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems design and contract administration for the heating, ventilating air conditioning, domestic hot water, electrical power, emergency generator system, interior and exterior lighting, and fire alarm systems.  The two high rise residence halls were designed and constructed under a design/build project delivery.    Select existing equipment was evaluated and designated for re-use, including existing chillers, boilers, and water heaters.  A new rooftop ERV was provided to supply ventilation air to all the spaces.  The building was designed to be fully sprinklered with fire pumps and a new fire alarm system.  New ADA compliant plumbing fixtures were installed in lavatories and domestic water piping and sanitary piping were replaced.
